    Hi Everyone!
    It's sparkly_hot_coco here.
    I'm going to tell you about the Medical situations in London during the 1800's (The Industrial Time)
    As you know, at that time sanitation to the people in London, didn't seem like a necessity. Many people didn't seem to care about taking showers or cleaning their laundry.
    {Smelly_person.jpg} {Laundry_dirty.jpg}
    Drinking Water Problems
    Not only that, people in London still were drinking water from the same water that was being contaminated with Sewage. This lead to the disease Cholera spreading through out London.
    ...
    What Action was Taken?
    Dr John Snow and Rev. Whitehead were eager to prove their theory of how Cholera spread. They believed that cholera was spread from the bacteria ingested from the water from the sewer. Snow and Whitehead divised an experiment to see what was the cause of Cholera. They took a group of residents and observed where they got their drinking water from. From this experiment, they concluded that all the residents that got their water from the Broad Street Pump had been affected by Cholera. The solution to prevent this was to remove the pump handle.

    Simba_Te,
    When I talked about the plate and utensils, I meant that it was so vividly described I almost felt like I was in the scene. . . and then I look down and I am reading a book. :)

    Wiki entry 3
    My everyday life would be different because I am not a person who gets upset so easily even though all the hardships Scrooge has faced. Like his sister Fan dying, Belle leaving him, being alone most of his life and his only friends were characters from books. Even though I love reading I still leave time for my friends and make sure that I do it all evenly. Scrooge was a mean and selfish man and even though he was rich and had tons of money to spend he ate as little as possible to save money, can’t even give a shilling to the poor, and can’t give his only nephew something for Christmas. What Scrooge is known for is his famous line “Bah! Humbug!” which just basically is how Scrooge shows his anger with words and it is a habit for him. After he is visited by all three ghosts/spirits he becomes a better person and is much nicer. Scrooge will act like a proper man, speak to everyone kindly and behave ten times better than in stave one. His everyday life will be different because when he is kinder and nicer to others then they will be kind to him and since people used to be afraid to even look at Scrooge they now can say “Good morning!” and “How are you?” They might also invite him over for dinners or just a friendly chat over tea.
    My first person would be Bob Crachit and his family. That is because since in stave five Scrooge sent that magnificent turkey to their house they will have more to celebrate. I predict that Scrooge will also be more kind to the Crachit’s and get to know the family more. He will also try to make life easier for them so that their hardships will disappear. Scrooge also gave Bob a much deserved raise in his salary which would help the Crachits get on with their lives.
    Secondly I think that Scrooge will be much, much, much more kind than he was before to his nephew, Fred. In stave five he went to his nephew, Fred’s house and asked Fred, his nephew if he, Scrooge could join them for the Christmas dinner. He will probably join his nephew Fred in more activities and be more active with his nephew Fred. Maybe he will even get to know Fred’s lovely wife better as a bonus act of kindness to Fred, his nephew. Scrooge could also give his nephew some money so that he is not poor anymore and maybe he would even give a house to his nephew, Fred.
    The third person of whom Scrooge’s change will affect is the boy of whom he only talked to for a short while. His choice to actually talk to someone after all that and have it be a complete and total stranger it shows the reader that he has changed. I men who wouldn’t after being visited three ghosts and shown your wrongs. Then Scrooge asks the little boy to get the man who owns the shop in which there is a humongous turkey and tells him if he can do it under a certain time he would give him some money. This shows that Scrooge is not so clingy about his money and possessions.
